Battery powered PC molex?

Post by haxzor6999 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 1:05 pm

Hi just wondering what parts i need?

2x 9v Batteries (square type) = 18v

then step voltage down to 12v and 5v (Yellow, Red PC Molex Wires)

Someone did mention using a 5v and a 12v regulator would do the trick?

Anyways i was informed this was the best place to ask ;)

Thx in advance!

You also need 3.3v and -5v for standard ATX motherboards.

Depending on what you're trying to build, it might be easier to get a PicoPSU (feed it 12 volts and it does the rest) or work with a laptop (one voltage needed).
