thumbstick mechanism

thumbstick mechanism

I am rebuilding the wii nunchuk and was looking to replace the thumb stick mechanism with one thats bigger/beefier. Any ideas?

Have you seen what the mechanism is that Nintendo used? Cause back with the N64 they an LED with a photo sensor to gauge that, and such. If it's simply a dual-potentiometer, you could in theory build your own stick. See what you have first and then let us know.
