I have super mario 3 and zelda: oracle of seasons for gameboy and gbc, neither of which work. I've tried rubbing alcohol. Any ideas on how to get these to work?

I've tried oracle on numerous gameboys, and different kinds too (gbc/gba/sp). I'll try with wario land tomorrow, and super gameboy.

and how do they break, exactly? they seem like they wouldn't just randomly stop working.

Yeah, I figured that. I'd like to get a screwdriver and new battery, but that would be more expensive then the game itself. I'll need one eventually so I'll probably just buy one at/after the MGC.

Take an eraser and gently rub it against the contacts.

Ive sen this before, and I think its the memory bank switch that fails, because every one Ive seen, the nintendo logo is still there on boot- up.
