Certain electronic circuit...

Post by Mario » Sat Nov 10, 2007 8:57 pm

I'm looking for a circuit that is small, runs off of 5 volts DC, and emits a short beep every minute or so. Know where to find one?

I'm not worried about the actual circuit BOARD, I need a circuit that does what I said.

I think you're looking for something like this...

Beep Prank wrote:Your AD9V Beeper Bomb comes fully assembled and is ready for use. The beeper device is designed to be powered up, placed where you'd like and left go. This is a novelty prank device only! Beeper Bomb is an electronic prank device in which will beep every so often before going into "silent mode". When it wakes up, it will beep again and continue this cycle, making it very difficult to find the unit. It's frequency is high pitched, at 2.4KHz, making the sound appear to come from all different directions. It comes with a very clear instruction sheet on how to use this device.
On all of the prank sites I know of, they are sold out...
Build your own with this guide and source?

my smoke alarm beeps like every 5 minutes because the battery is about dead. maybe i could send it to you but you would have to use if fast before the battery is dead for real.

Yes! Something EXACTLY like that. But I want it to run off of 5 volts so I can plug it into a USB port in the back of a computer. And I want to build my own, so I want a schematic.

 Someone didn't look at my post? At the link, just skip the 7805 regulator. Would that work?

No, I saw both of your links. I guess I didn't really figure out that there was a regulator there. I thought it ran on 9v.
Anyways, thanks for all of your replies. I found the circuit I needed. I'll try to get it up, along with some pictures of the finished product and some specs.
