Ipod Help
Moderator:Moderators
Okay I got the Ipod, I bought a USB Charger (Its NOT made by ipod, its made by "SONNOT", and its a USB charger that has a "head" which can be plug into a wall, if you dont wanna use the head you can plug it straight into your computer.)
Okay So I plug it into my computer, and then the "apple" logo apeears then a "Battery with Exclemation mark enclosed by a Triangle" appears.
I need some help, as when normally when the usb cord is plugged in, the ipod is supposed to have a "Do not disconnect" logo.
Please help.

Well I can't say I've run into a problem where the battery was so drained that when it was on the charger it couldn't bootup. If I had to guess the symbol you are seeing is likely a meaning that the battery can't charge. That's at the very least what the caution symbol over the battery should mean.
The only way I can say to see if the problem is the iPod or the charger is to use the Apple iPod charger. I know that the Apple wallwort USB charger works, used a friends one last night. If the problem is indeed the charger, return it and buy an Apple brand. It's more expensive, but you can be assured it's going to work.

First off, where did you buy this iPod? What model is it? The fact that you bought an iPod without the official power adaptor and cord kinda points out that it is used. Find a local Apple Store (getting common in UK, REALLY common in US) and go to the "genius bar" and they will diagonose it for you. The Apple Store Michegan Avenue (Chicago) always checked up on my mini for free and even replaced my earbuds for free. Your local sore will probually do the same.
