Odd PC Error...

Post by CronoTriggerfan » Fri Jul 07, 2006 1:13 pm

I'm getting an error every time I start up my laptop saying that "The device in the system modular bay can't be recognized/is not fully inserted." Then it gives me troubleshooting tips. Funny thing is, there's nothing in my system modular bay! After I hit escape to bypass the screen, everything works just fine; it's just really annoying. Anyone know how to fix/stop this from happening?

Thanks in advance,
CTFan

Throw the laptop across the room. jk, don't do that. :D
Try disabling the bay in the device manager.

Try cleaning the bay connector (might not do anything), it's possible there's something conductive in there that is making it think there's something in it.

Or put a device in the modular bay. :P

Is this on a Dell Latitude laptop?
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
