Li-Ion battery PCB?

Post by XPCportables » Wed Jun 21, 2006 10:13 am

Is the PCB required for saftey on Li-Ion packs, because I have a nice 3200ma 7.2v Li-Ion that has a blown PCB, but I didn't know if it was safe to bypass it. could somebody tell me?

not safe.

i have a design for one that can be made for cheap, but you need some sm soldering skills and you have to etch a board (or otherwise get it done somehow)

but it works, i tested it.

ooor you could just buy one from battteryspace. its like 5 bucks
