where can i learn this stuff?

Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.

Yes... it's the only thing that makes these forums feel empty... :(

Anyway, I suggest joining the forums over at www.electro-tech-online.com They're a pretty big forum with tons of threads you can learn from and there are a lot of helpful people there too. (Nigel Goodwin knows all... it's just crazy...) That forum is how I learned almost everything I know about electronics.

Here's a great place to get started learning about electronic stuff. Another thing I would suggest is to go to your local library, search the catalog for "electronics" and have fun. You'd be surprised at how many electronic overview books there are.

yaeh i dont think the burning part would be very enjoyable...but breaking stuff is always, ALWAYS fun! if this stupid portable TV screen i have ends up being the wrong kind so i can't use it, im thinking of either just putting it back together, or destroying it....its tempting....
