NES Problem..

Post by Drlabcoat » Sat Jun 17, 2006 6:02 pm

Well I was thinking of using my NES for parts for a handheld, but recently its started making pinging sounds and a very strong paint like smell comes out of it. Is something melting inside of it? I'm afraid to turn it on again. I haven't tried using a game with it yet. Any ideas? Cheers~

Eh? What did you do with it? Ran Deadly Towers or something? oh you said no game  No seriously, you probably have a broken capacitor or something because of it's age. I've never seen any NES chip burn anyway...
