you could just cut the wire, strip both ends, add the 3rd wire, twist them all together, then solder it.

That was a pretty good episode actually. Maybe in the next episode you could spotlight SMD/surface mount soldering.

You should have desoldering and using/making flux in the next episode. And have all the different types of desoldering, like w/a desoldering iron, ribbon, and tool.
