Can somebody tell me how to do thte thing I asked for earlier without simply burning the plastic off with the iron?

you could just cut the wire, strip both ends, add the 3rd wire, twist them all together, then solder it.

That was a pretty good episode actually. Maybe in the next episode you could spotlight SMD/surface mount soldering. :)

You should have desoldering and using/making flux in the next episode. And have all the different types of desoldering, like w/a desoldering iron, ribbon, and tool.
