Posted this on MR a while ago, but decided I might start to visit here more. I modded this super nintendo to turn on with a touch, and off with two touches. It's basically just an arduino controlling a relay.

The power switch was covered in tinfoil.
A wire is soldered onto the other side.
That wire is connected to an arduino which controls a relay switch. Notice the radioshack packaging used as in insulator . The positioning of the arduino prevents me from being able to use the eject lever, but it could easily be shrunk down.

Amazing work, man. I think I've seen this before somewhere, though... Pretty sure it wasn't on ModRetro, I don't go on there much. *shrug*

Awesome idea... but certainly you could make a real metal switch instead of tin foil :/
