Touch sensitive super nintendo

Post by stuntpenguin007 » Sun Feb 19, 2012 3:28 am

Posted this on MR a while ago, but decided I might start to visit here more. I modded this super nintendo to turn on with a touch, and off with two touches. It's basically just an arduino controlling a relay.

The power switch was covered in tinfoil.

A wire is soldered onto the other side.

That wire is connected to an arduino which controls a relay switch. Notice the radioshack packaging used as in insulator 8). The positioning of the arduino prevents me from being able to use the eject lever, but it could easily be shrunk down.

Amazing work, man. I think I've seen this before somewhere, though... Pretty sure it wasn't on ModRetro, I don't go on there much. *shrug*

Awesome idea... but certainly you could make a real metal switch instead of tin foil :/
