photos taken by my lil bro and I

Specs:
- OMGWTF rev A mobo
- wii classic controller
- Buttons and triggers from GC microcon controller
- 4 cylindrical batteryspace batts, 3.7v each, 2600mAh, 2 hours battery life
- Thinkpad heatsink and fan (credits to Zenloc for pointing it out)
- 1.375"x6.5"x4.125" or 587108.811mm³
- feels like a pound
- Unmodded L and R potentiometers
- No Disc drive - uses Wiikey Fusion runing games off of SD card (major credit to Ashen)
- volume control
- Smartphone speakers as they are incredibly small yet sound great
- PS2 madcatz retrocon joysticks
- Case molded by Chris Downing
- Daftmike Battery circuit LED

Fun Facts!
- In total, I spent about 102 hours and 25 minutes building the Envision over 7 months
- I stayed up for 36 hours straight to finish up the Envision - I got a nasty cold from this
- I stayed up for 40 hours to finish editing the video by Christmas - My eyes were bloodshot afterwards
- I spent a month planning just the button layout to make sure everything felt comfortable and easy to play. Aside from the case mold, I did all casework myself :P
- I broke about 13 motherboards before getting this thing to work
- I've had the actual case shell since before the Ccube was even completed
- It is the second portable gamecube to feature a component cable inside, allowing for beautiful progressive scan mode (the first portable being Ashen's Revolution portable)
- I had the portable finished several weeks prior, but I opened it up to do a minor repair, eventually frying the motherboard
- I spent 6 months looking for the right song to use in the video
- The Envision was originally going to have a disc drive sticking out on the back
- In early 2012 the Envision was featured in the UK magazine "Ngamer" with a short article about da tchay

Special Thanks:
Sifuf - His Sixty Free Lite-R inspired me to think up the Envision back before the Ccube was even done. You'll notice that ALL of the above pictures follow Sifuf's pictures in his presentation thread. The Envision itself follows the look and feel of the Sixty Free. That portable remains, to this day, as one of my favorite N64 portables. Thanks Sifuf.
Ashen - For allowing all of us to use the Wiikey fusion and scrap our horrible disc drives. Ashen is BAMF. <3
Shockslayer - For an unprecedented amount of moral support, troubleshooting help, and manlove. Seriously, SS is a cool kat. I owe him some rum.
Cndowning - For making the awesome vacuum formed case mold and accommodating my crazy last minute changes
Palmertech - nothing

Looks awesome. I'm surprised the Rev a mobo can get that small. Is the small button below the dpad start?

I have heard, on good authority, that Tchay is the reincarnation of Milton Berle.

awesome gc portable, tchay :)

enjoy your creation and hope you're better soon sucks about the bloodshot etc freaks me out hinting about it.

also, do you keep the majority of gc portables you make? cause this is your best work yet, don't sell it keep it for yourself, like SS did for his XGC.

also, you menched the n64 zed a are emus from zelda collector's edition are iso so they run fine no problems

um, so if i use the collectors edition iso which i have to play the zelda emu's on it will they work fine?
how did you get them to work? as separate iso?
any leads? i haven't played zelda MM and now that I'm getting the wiikey fusion i'l use the collector's edition iso to play mm.

anyways, love your portable, it's really good, good job, tchay :)

Stellar work, dude. It's always good to see the community alive, well, and still innovating.
