a few measurements of the system (added to initial post):
weight of system - 2 lbs 2.4 ounces
weight of system with both games - 2 lbs 9.6 ounces
thickness - 2 5/8"
height with just nes game - 5 7/8"
height with the snes game - 7"
yes, it is a bit large and a bit hefty. but, it's mine and it's done and it looks nice.

Absolutley wonderful!
Those decals really add a nice touch to the design!
I'll have to save that decal link....those might be handy for my forthcoming creation

That was a very nice article they wrote on Hackaday - you deserve it, too. Fantastic portable! I'm so glad to see it finished - despite its many attempts at suicide, you brought it to LIFE!
I'm going to go play with some decals now to make my stuff look as good as yours...

Congrads on finishing your project!!
Looks amazing. Makes me wish I had the time and tools to do something like this. Also the talent.........
Anyway, happy to see news of your portable is getting picked up by many of the major sites (found out on Engadget since I haven't been to the forum in a while). Now take some time off and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Then hurry up and come back and start work on something even more amazing. I'm thinking a Gensis/NES/SNES portable using the RetroN 3....

Congrats on finishing and getting featured in so many places! I'm really really glad you recovered from your earlier setback!
Pro tip, don't read the comments on the websites, they'll actually suck away your IQ.
"well, y dont u just put itall on a sd card itll all fit and u can add n64 games 2!"
"lol nintendo is dum, i can emulate ps1 on my fone!"

ok, i think i've discovered the thing that is bringing the biggest smile to my face:
the fact that i have friends on facebook, who had no clue i even did this till i posted a link to this news thread, finding it on sites and linking me. it's cool to see they are finding me places that they go normally. lol!
