N64Mini v2 - commission
Moderator:Moderators
Here is my completed N64Mini v2. It's slightly different than my first one. It's a bit wider and a bit less tall. Thickness is also less due to the cartridge beeing flush with the back.
Dimensions: 21cmx11cmx5cm
Specs:
Brightness and volume controlls
4 LED modded psone screen
4 to 5 hours battery life (4x 18650 li-ion cells)
Full n64 hori controller (double z buttons) + gamecube analog stick (third party)
Smaller speakers
av and headphone out
power and charge jack
3 way power switch (able to charge batteries and play via psone adapter at the same time)

I've seen a lot of portables, and I believe this is hands down one of the most beautiful and well crafted on this site.
Fantastic work.
Fantastic work.
Re: N64Mini v2 - commission
Wow, you certainly know how to squish em down. Awesome work as usual.

If the buyer is ok with it, could you tell us how much it was, in a $100 range? (like $500-$600)budnespid wrote:How much were you paid for this work of art?

Re: N64Mini v2 - commission
I'd think it was 400 euros or $600.

Re: N64Mini v2 - commission
Well he charges a minimum of $600 for an N64 portable. So my guess is $800.
And danggggggg this beast is sexy.
And does that screen have the "antiglare" mod.

Price is as my commission topic states, $600 (400euros). It indeed has the antiglare mod.
This is a basic model but getting it much thinner than this is not very possible. Due to a little miscalculation it is 1 cm thicker than planned. I actually needed to make it 22cm wide not 21cm. But he it looks nice and it's to the buyers wishes. In the future though i'm going to make a standard model. Making it different everytime is time consuming
Things sticking out of portables (no offense) is not my taste. I rather have something more meaty but that looks the parts and feels the part. Big is not really my thing. And squishing comonents together seems to do the job.

Re: N64Mini v2 - commission
Looks awsome!!! I even liked the way of the L, R, and dual Z buttons. Looks very comfortable to use
I noticed one con though, why include an AV out jack if you can't use this portable for multiplayer (I didn't see controller ports in the portable for the AV out) or what do you guys think? I think it needs a controller port
