The psp n64 emulator is actually getting much much better, but nothing can beat official N64 hardware on the go.
n64 emulators on psp = foreva fail.

I'm not going to give psp emulators a good score until it can play all of the third party games that we each have a different love for, for a game eachother has never heard of.

Right now the emulators are only programed to be able to play all the popular games, since they can't figure out the entire architecture.

That is a false generalization.

The SNES emu plays almost ALL the games. (B/C it is SNES9X)
The NES Emu is pretty good too.

But as for N64, your statement is too true :(

Well I made that assumption because when I had a psp I couldn't get a lot of my roms to work, that was a few months ago though.

No not really. I just play it now. I did get it to close a little bit more though. Still not closed but closer than before. Like I don't feel the fan exhaust on my hand anymore.

Is it possible to play shooters on it? Because it has no dpad and the stick is on the left side, looks hard.

Actually games like golden eye have different control options. I play it using the stick to move and the c buttons to look around.

Most people gripped the N64 controller in such a way that the analog stick was moved by the left thumb. Therefore, his setup makes perfect sense.

Also, few games used the D-pad, and still fewer required it. If you thought it was used as the "right analog" stick of the controller, that was typically the yellow C buttons, which are conveniently on the right side.

Any other setup would be "hard."
