Cardboard and duct tape nes!

Post by themadhacker » Sat Apr 11, 2009 7:26 pm

Ok, I had an nes mobo I bought from shmellyfart. it needed a case. All I had lying around was a cardboard box and some gorrilla tape.

Ok, pics!

Time for some interesting facts. The controller ports came off of a dead yobo nes that I got for free from Dr. Killgood. Also, the original cart connector I had on it came from Nevermind. However, this is not that connector. I recently fixed a friends nes that had not been running in 20 years. It needed a new connector, and I just replaced it with the one I got from nevermind. My friend payed me so I could buy myself a new connector, but I have not done so yet. So for the time being, I have a crappy broken cart connector.

comments?

It's the NES Slim!

I like it. Very minimalistic and cool-looking, even if it is cardboard and duct tape.

Thanks, I thought about changing the case, but after presenting it to all of my friends, they thought it was the greatest thing they ever saw ( they are easily amused). Because if that, The case is permenant.

NICE.

Love how it looks like a professional NES clone from afar.

Pretty sweet!
Even out of cardboard and duct tape, it looks cooler than the original NES!
I like it. :D

For cardboard and duct tape it's pretty good!

But don't you have to hold the cartridge down for it to work?

very nice for something made up of cardboard and duct tape.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

no, in fact, the cartridge can move up and down. Not pushing it down does not wear out th connector.

Very classy. Good choice with the gorilla tape. I've had something gorilla taped that has spent 2 years outside and it is still holding strong.

very classy for duct tape and cardboard. It reminds me of vomitsaw's toploader.

Thank's for all the positive comments. And what is this about vomitsaw's toploader?

I say kill the box, and just wrap the thing in duct tape for massive damage.
