Xbox 360 controller in NES Advantage

Post by Hifeno » Tue Nov 04, 2008 9:34 pm

I know this is not a portable but I have stuffed a wireless Xbox 360 controller into a NES Advantage Controller. Wired to A B Start and Select is Guide. Mounted battery on front. There is still some more tweaking to do. I need to hook up some resistors to triggers and sticks but do not know where to hook them up so any advise would be appreciated. Let me know what you think. Will be posting a video on youtube of it working on pc with wireless xbox adapter.

Here's your image. You linked to the page where the image is, not the image itself. It looks good though. Very clean. The joystick isn't analogue though, right?

EDIT: I somehow didn't see the giant battery pack sticking out... So not as clean as I thought. Is there any way you can put that on the inside?
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

I tried to put battery in but not enough room. If I do another I will use rechargeable double a and a recharger plug. No it is not analog it is connected straight to dpad on 360 controller.

I finished it completely resistors and all. I will be putting up a youtube video sometime friday. The only thing I did not like about it is the battery but other wise it works great.

The joystick is connected to the D-Pad, eh? That should make fighting games a lot better. Very cool mod.

it was cool until I saw that battery nastily attached to your stick, really ruins the whole project. Give this project the proper finish with at least a battery compartment from Radioshack - you could screw it to the joystick, and even paint to match. It would look better, be better mounted and yet functional. If you want rechargeable use some NIMH's with a charger.
