Nintoaster -- The REAL "toaster" NES! (56K run
Moderator:Moderators
Greetings again, fellas! I've got somethin' new to share with ya.
I received plenty of flack for my previous project (the Super Genintari) looking "like a toaster", and as it turned out, I had a spare NES and toaster laying around the house. I knew what had to be done.
And now some progress shots:
I also did a short YouTube demonstration video:

Hope you fellas at least get a chuckle out of it.

The NES (sans modification) only outputs a mono audio signal, so only one video and one audio cable are necessary. Whether the cable itself is red, white, yellow, pink, blue, translucent doesn't matter. I can understand the initial confusion though. I've had others ask that question too.Gordon1 wrote:Bad ass! How did you come up with this? Also, where does it get it's video from? In the video you plugged two audio cables into it (red and white). Is one of those Video?
Oh I know. That's half of the joke.DK wrote:Old NES was called "The Toaster" as a nickname due to the way you put the games in it.
I see. Well then, perhaps a moderator could move it?xtrmgam3r360 wrote:this would be better off in the news forum

GAH people on YouTube are STUPID!
That doesn't make the mod (or video) any less awesome, though! You should have left the little bell in there so it would ding when you turn it off.
YouTard #1 wrote:I think he just converted the toaster into the nes eliminating everything from the toaster except its basic mechanism(which doesn't include the warmer thingy, and he just added orange lights), but I'm not sure
YouTard #2 wrote:Won't that ominous glow eventually be the demise of the game cartridge and other parts you have in there? I mean, it's not just a pretty glow that makes the toast. Also once the toaster has sufficiently heated up what it thinks is toast it will shut itself off, right?
The nintoaster has many flaws in my opinion.

You seem to like the color orange ! Great job, it seems simple, yet will fit into any room's contemporary style.
