IMPORTANT: Site transfer and forum outages

Post by benheck » Wed Jan 31, 2007 12:04 pm

To resolve some issues with FTP, I am having benheck.com moved to a new server on my ISP's network. This will require me to rebuild everything and reinstall phpBB, backup the forums and put it all together on a new blank site.

The DNS will point at the new server between noon Thursday and noon Friday (central time) Or I can have it switched manually as early as tomorrow night, just depends on how long it takes me to get my end ready.

So at a certain point, probably later tonight, I will back up the databases which include the forums. I will make an announcement just before then, so when you see that, STOP POSTING or you'll lose your data when the new site goes live.

Everything should be back up and fully working by Friday. Thanks for your patience, hope you enjoy the "new benheck.com"

Jesus, are you missing the punctuation buttons on your keyboard; and what about the shift button?

R-master's sentance, fine. There was no punctuation errors(except: ..... ) and it wasn't a caps lock attack either.
