Kind of strange OXM would practically give out the URL to instructions of 360 modding! :P

Why should they care? It's not like Ben's telling you how to get free Xbox-live or copy games. It's nothing more then a few hardware hacks and a case mod. And besides if people were willing to emulate or copy what Ben did, if they break the Xbox 360 then it means more money for them as a new 360 will have to be bought.

Actually, Microsoft loses money on the console itself, and makes it up in games and accessories. So if you break a few 360's and buy a new one, you're not helping Microsoft at all, money-wise. It does give them more sales numbers though, but on a negligible scale.

That was the theory with the Xbox, too, and look at the financial losses with that!

The marketing strategy with nearly every console is that the games are the money makers, and consoles just secure those game sales. But still, it definitely helps to make money off the console as well as the games, and the only company in a position to do that is Nintendo.

Dude they make money of 360s. They own the hardware ip (they make the hardware) according to most sites they are making 50 dollars a pop. Look it up if you think im wrong.

I know you're wrong, and I did look it up. From a reputable source, at that; GameSpot. They lose about $126 a console. Couple that with hardware flaws and repair costs of the malfunctioned 360s, they lose even more. Look it up if you think I'm wrong.
