NN DONE!!!!

Post by Sword_Gun » Mon Jul 31, 2006 11:32 am

I'd like to present, my NES NOW! (NN)
Its made using a NOAC, a Videonow Color Case, and a Controller, and a Inter-Act Screen.

Took me about 1 month to make, its my first portable, as NOTG (Nes On The Go, was scrapped).

It is NOT running off batteries, BUT, I asked Luc and bic if I could post it here, as I am not making it run off batteries.

Just the Case with NOAC In it

Image
Half of case, and controller, and the white dot is the power button. (That actually just kinda fell out of place, so I need to make it stick and stand better so it will turn on ;p)

Image
Super Hinge!

Image
Close up of Power button and case

Image
Cartridge ports (Looks somewhat not stable looking, but the tape fell off :p)

Image
A/V ports located on the Bottom of Case (Yes Its cool looking this way)

Image
All In one, yes its big :(

Hope ya guys like it, give me some comments on it.

Thanks,
Sword

Thanks :p, the screen almsot folds over the whole thing. It would be WAYYYYYY smaller if I had a hipgear Screen Pad.

Yeah it would be neater if you could fit a screen into the circular gray area on the case, and add the controller buttons to the case as well (instead of using the giant PS1 style controller). Good effort nonetheless though.

Make the transition between parts a little smoother and I'll give it an A-!

I'll give you a C, mainly for not opening the screen's case. If you have to keep it like that, you may want to put the NOAC in a smaller transition case, or in the controller case, just remove the cart slot.

Grade: C

I cant take the cart slot off, as I play Famicom games, and its like right on where the roms come from. Very hard.

I could take off the screens case BUT.... It took me like a month to get a case for the portable.. and since I suck at cases, that would be impractical.

You should paint over the ViDeO NoW logo, so people don't think your watcing Kare Bears on that thing when your really playing NES. Nice job, it's a heck of a lot better than anything I could do.

...I'm kinda confused. What's the point of using a crappy Video-Now case? Why not go to Radio Shack & buy a $5 plastic box?
