Hi to everyone. This portable has been made as a commission work. It took around five weeks to finish. I've made lots of design work for this portable and came to this final look. Also, I want to thank Ashen for kindly replying my messages and explaining things I asked and to Zenloc for his 'shoulder analog's to digital trigger mod'...
Specs are:
* CNC-cut&engraved wooden case painted with yacht varnish(also available as kit if anyone wants),
* Sony PSOne screen with led mod,
* Official logos drawn on the front,
* Works with Gamecube adapter or 14.8v external battery pack,
* Official controller's board used inside,
* Built-in memory card and Player 2 ports enabled,
* Original heatsink trimmed with CNC engraver,
* Headphone jack,
* All unnecessary ports desoldered by heatgun..
Here comes the pics:
Enjoy...

Quick question, why leave the disk exposed?

Nice work man! It turned out beautiful! Thanks for the shout out.
Re: c_mon's Wooden Gamecube Portable
Customer wanted it that way. It has no problem working that way 'cos the disc is, say the word, 'sunk' there. You can play without touching or it can be left on a surface on its back.bearandom wrote:Quick question, why leave the disk exposed?
I'm working on one with magnetized disc cover right now, as commission for someone.
Ashen and ProgMetalMan, thanks for your nice words...
