Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

I've been using a metal case for my Sega Project. It was that thing that caused my sega to FRY (in the box of hell). But there's a pro to ALL this. The case IS REALLY STURDY. Hard to cut, but with a dremel its pretty easy. Now this is my provision, cover the bottom with a side of a box. And insulate the surrounding sides, by covering it in tape. Think it'll work, by the way I'm keeping the underside of the sega as well.

Radio Shack has PC board standoff things that you could glue to the bottom of the case. Then you just screw the mobo in place above the metal.

If its not metal, then its probably a good insulator. If its made of trees, its a great insulator.

If it's made out of insulation, then it's probably not too great an insulator...or case for that matter...that stuff has fiberglass shards that REALLY hurt...ow...
