Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Xbox 360 Laptop Cooling

What has been your best experience in keeping an xbox 360 laptop cool with space in mind. I have very little room in my build and would not like to increase the thickness of my project. I had used a stock heatsink

cut less wide to fit on the CPU while using the next generation

for the GPU (I might have those mixed). I put some 12v Fans on top of both and can play for about 30 minutes without a case before it over heats. This is the last bit of my project before finalizing a case design and putting it in. I have ordered the newer model heat sink

in hopes that it will work better. Any experience would be greatly appreciated.

For anyone who runs into this type of problem, after trimming the newer heatsink down to 70mm square, I ran the unit for an hour with no difficulty with the fan on. I'm getting a new, smaller fan with close to the same CFM. With a case I'm going to have to work out some air flow but my project is almost done!
