Handheld Netbook Case

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Handheld Netbook Case

Post by gonad » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:02 pm

I want to turn my Samsung n130 netbook into a handheld.

My idea is to somehow put its guts along with the guts of a usb controller inside of a case together. I don't think it would even involve any soldering.

I've never done anything like this before. Any ideas or advice?

Sounds great! Definitely go for it! One problem I can think of is weight. Is the n130 a light machine?

The specs on amazon say it weighs 1.25 kg.

My first idea was to put an n64 controller under the netbook and somehow make a case around that. But the problem with that is it might be a little hard to hold up because of the weight.

The other idea I have is to put the buttons on either side of the screen. The problem with this is that the screen is so big that I'd have to hold it with hands pretty far apart.

And I don't know what I would use as a case. Any ideas?
