Resin casting, anyone?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Resin casting, anyone?

Im new and prospecting the idea of a portable console. Reading through the index and intro of The Book I didn't see anything about casting silicon molds then making the cases out of resins. I want to do this because it cheaper than GNC and looks nicer than hacking away at an old tv case. I've read up on resign casting, but has anyone ever used it in the construction of a case?

If it haleps at all im considering using aluminite RC3 for the case, as it is more durable than other resins?
