Plastic help

Can someone please tell me the types of plastic I can use for Vacuum forming? I know that most people use Styrene but I saw lexan at home depot and I wounded if it would work too. Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend lexan but to each his own. Styrene works best but only thing I have a problem with lexan is that I couldn't get it hot enough.

Re: Plastic help
styrene, ABS and polyethylene all work pretty well as case material. polyproplyene is worthless for cases. lexan and other acrylics have a melting temp of like 350 degrees, no good for vac molding

I use a moist fabric softener. Just wet it and rub it on your mold then let it air dry. It leaves a film just like baby powder without the mess.Raizer04 wrote: I had no idea about the baby powder! SMART THINKING!!
