Vaccum folding over a case

I want to vaccum fold over a custom case such as the base of a 360 laptop to make it look clean/nice. How do I secure the molded plastic on the original case? Super glue? Screws? Any suggestions?

I don't think I'm understanding what you're wanting to do... I don't have a clue what vacuum folding is, unless you meant to say vacuum forming. In which case, you could super glue. If you needed to take the base apart, then I'd say screws.

You better have some thick plastic and something with a really powerful suck, because the normal .08 thick styrene that most of us use would be too thin for something large and heavy like a 360 laptop. You could form it over a sheet of steel or aluminum for strength or use thicker plastic.

If both pieces are plastic then just use ABS Cement between the two.
