Can a mod lock this thread?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Re: Xbox 360 Laptop case - Any pointers?

Sheets of plastic would be great. Lexan (polycarbonate) would be preferable to acrylic. Metal might be useful too, but it's CONDUCTIVE! You won't need CNC but a steady hand and a good bandsaw would be useful. Forget vacuform, not strong enough.

Hello all, My first post here. YAY. Ok I do own a cnc plasma cutting table. I have started to collect parts for my xbox 360 laptop. My plan is to make the base and the top out of alum. It will be cut with my cnc. If anybody has some cad drawing to share would be great. Plus I willing to help out the group here. You pay for the metal and shipping cost, I can cut them out. Here is a picture of my last project. It took me 2 years to build him. I can't wait to get started :D. Main thing to understand is this project will take a long time to do. But at the end its the best feeling in the world. So shoot me a email if you have any questions

No it won't take that long to do.
It's taking me over a month only because the case is the hardest thing for me to make and I have had nowhere to assemble anything for awhile, everything else is easy so if you have a cnc machine..I hate you lol

Also, it's easiest to just go to lowe's and buy angle framing, frame your case and buy sheets of aluminum to go inside the frame. It's hard to make holes for certain things though :(
current project 360p:
2.8" laptop with 17"ws, keyboard and mouse/playstation compatible in games, temp sensors, 6 more usb ports
What I need: a second wifi adapter, case 70% done
