Using PC Cases!?!

Post by gismo4126 » Sat Jan 17, 2009 1:36 pm

I was wondering about using a custom PC case (from newegg or somewhere) for a PS3 case. Adding some lights etc like i would on a PC. i know its not on the scale of what ben and some of you guys do but i'm just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the subject, and if anyone has done it. if so, please post pics or how you did it or what case you used etc...Chow!

Why? A regular ATX tower is about 4 times the size of a PS3 case, and to be honest most case mods look like crap.

There's no reason it can't be done, but I just can't think of a reason why it should be done.

a mini atx or smaller case would work and not be a whole lot bigger than the ps3

My plan is to put a big external hdd inside with it and wire it into a spare usb port and with all of the easy to use add-ons for PC, i think it will make a nice looking functional Monsterstation 3 to add a little spice to my living room!

If it was designed for the 360 i'd be kind of annoyed if a 360 didn't fit :P

We'll i've been researching it, and i've decided to say F*** it and go all in! I've changed the idea a little bit, how about turning an Aquarium into a PS3?!? complete with bubbles. i plan to submerge the motherboard, power supply, and some decorative rocks and a pirate ship 8) . At the top not submerged will be the HDD and BD Drive. Sound good?!? :?:

Or have a deep tank with water on bottom, and mineral oil floating on top. Then fishies in the water and PS3 in the oil.
