A cable to transfer electricity to PSU?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

A cable to transfer electricity to PSU?

Post by woox » Tue Dec 09, 2008 10:19 pm

I am working on a PC mod, and basically what I want to do is make my PSU external, and have all the connections converted to a say parallel port, and have the parallel port go from external PSU, to my PC, and plugs into a custom parallel port I would attach inside the PC which would then redistribute the wires properly to the mobo.

Is it possible/safe to do this with a serial/parallel cable? Is there a better/smaller cable I could possible use to conenct all those multiple cables in masse

(think of it like a a laptop charger)

safe, should be, as you're not messing with the high voltage parts of the psu, but the parallel ports may have a bit too much resistance...
