WTB GH Foot Pedal

Post by smitty » Wed Feb 02, 2011 2:16 pm

So apparently somebody pulled the cord out of my foot pedal... Turns out it's just 2 wires in there, but I soldered them back in place and it still didn't work. So, does anyone here have or know of a place to get a working Foot Pedal for Guitar Hero? The Rock Band ones won't work, even though they seem identical. I've tried. Somebody please help, I really wanna play drums D:
(I've looked on ebay, they're 30+ dollars... rock band ones are like 10. grrrr.)
Also, if you'd like to trade something, I might have something cool.

I work in a place that repairs electronics all day, especially drum controllers. The wires that you are referring to are actually connected to a piezo. YOu can replace the piezo easily by opening the case and swapping it out. You can still obtain a piezo buzzer from Radio Shack or an old pair of headphones. It's simple and you'll $ave!

From headphones? :D I have an old pair of headphones that lost their foam padding, pretty much useless for wearing at this point. The one in the pedal seems a lot bigger than my headphones, though...

Size shouldnt matter. AS long as the element is intact.

I think we may have thrown out the headphones, but the original pedal still worked. For some reason the soldering last time didn't stick, but it's all good now. :D The wire's in pretty bad shape, though. I think this pedal's just really cheaply made.

Yes, they are. You should hit up Radio Shack and grab a piezo out of their parts bins for 1.99 and that you can just cut up.
