Eh, the topic title is misleading. Sure, you have a large amount of RAM, and a decent processor.. However, that GPU is hardly good enough for proper gaming, the 9400 GT is a horrible GPU, I wouldn't go for anything less than an 8800 GTX, which is superior to the 9400 GT.

Even with you having a decent CPU, it's not that great being at 2.8 GHz..

2.8ghz quad core is plenty good. but it depends on which phenom processor it is. is the phenom 2 or the previous generation?

Not to thread crap, but 7GB of memory?
2GB, 2GB, 2GB, 1GB?
4GB, 2GB, 1GB?

Either way thats a bad setup.

You might want to try posting some of the hardware on GameTZ & [H]ard Forum - or pop it up on eBay.

I'd hate to sound like an Intel fanboy but the original Phenoms were awful. I'm most certainly not an Intel fanboy anyway, I use a Phenom II 555 BE (Unlocked to X4 B55) in my Desktop and a Intel Core i7 620M in my m15x. I can't argue with a $99 Quad Core...

How much do you want for this PC? I could build a more powerful one for $670 shipped (well...I already did). And what the hell kind of memory configuration is 7GB? And a 9400GT? My old 8600 GT in a crap P4 Dell was better than that and it was only $80 when I got it. Most people also don't care about the included Adobe CS5, since if anyone really wanted it, they would probably just obtain it using other methods.

Just my criticism. Nobody on Benheck will buy this. Try selling it on eBay.

Just to clarify - we're not criticizing the build, just want to make sure you can get money for it. And in the case of the nVidia 9400 -make sure you don't mislabel your system as a gaming PC. This video card is okay for low-level gaming - but would never be able to play newer games above 1280 x 1024 without having everything on low or medium.

The original Phenom's were okay - the Phenom IIs are significantly better though.

Figure this on the system:
The tower - if its condition is the same as when you bought it & its popular, like an Antec 900, you could possibly sell it for just a little less than what you bought it for.
CPU $75 tops (and thats for the best Quad Core original Phenom)
You didn't specify the motherboard, but I would venture to say its a mid-range one - so my guesstimate would be $50 tops for the motherboard - if it was a 790X series NB, closer to $100.
You can pickup that GPU on [H]ard Forum or eBay for less than $20
640GB hard drives can be picked up for around $40-50
DVD Burner is a DVD Burner - $25 tops

So you might be able to get $250-300 for the PC on forums - with the OS, maybe more.

I would try and sell the CS5 software separately - perhaps on eBay - but I'm not 100% sure on how you could resell used Adobe products.

Now if you do ebay, take some good photos & make sure the tower is clean and organized - you can make more as an auction. If you are going to do that (or anything else) make sure you get all the specs correctly inputted so tech savvy people see what they want.

As an example, my previous desktop configuration (sold one of the 5770s & since its already typed up):
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4Ghz
KINGWIN XT-1264 120mm Heatsink
ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 Motherboard
2 x 2GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 CL9
2 x Sapphire Vapor-X 5770 1GB CrossFire Dual 8x
- OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit -
250GB Western Digital Caviar SATA II HDD
- Storage -
750GB Seagate 7200.11 SATA II HDD
1.5TB Western Digital Caviar Black SATA II HDD

Cooler Master HAF-X 942
Raidmax Hybrid 630W Modular Power Supply
This was pulled from Steam, so its laid out for that - but another good option is to go onto Xfire & use their organization
For you, something like this:

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9600 2.3 GHz
Motherboard: Manufacturer Model # AM2+
RAM: 2 x 4GB (brand) DDR2 1066 (latency)
GPU: ASUS GeForce 9400GT 1GB GDDR2)

Hard Drive: Seagate 7200.11 640GB SATA II HDD
Disk Drive: Lite-On 24X DL DVD Burner with Lightscribe

Case: (Brand) (Model Number)
Then try to specify fan configuration if they are non-stock
