it is a phat.
it makes a click sound every couple of seconds and the "DISC READ ERROR".
Name your price, but please, not too much.

Sounds like a dead disc drive.

For someone to fix this for you, unless they had the part laying around, it would probably be just as cheap to buy a refurb unit from your local Gamestop. They're selling them for about 40 or 50 bucks at the one near me.

Honestly, a Phat isn't worth sending off to someone to fix. Shipping both ways would be close to $20-30, and Gamestop usually sells Slim's for around $40. ($35 near me)

If he's in the US, it would be closer to the $6-$10 range (one way), but it would cost a lot. Sell it on ebay?

I guarantee that you can find another broken one or a drive for cheap. Do the repair yourself and save, plus you get the added EXP...
