Visually impaired - would like a bigger Nintendo DS

Post by ffomega25 » Sat May 01, 2010 3:35 am

I have a hard time seeing small displays (namely anything smaller than 10"). I like a bunch of the games for the DS, and none of the emulators run everything....so, I was wondering if anyone would like to make a 10" DS laptop with usb controller hookup.

Thanks for reading

I'm sorry but I don't see how this would be very possible considering You would need to find some odd way to get Composite video from the DS, then figure out how to rig up a larger touch panel, Etc etc...

Plus a USB game pad would almost never be possible from a DS.

People have rigged up controllers from the DS, but it was made using a wire coming from each individual contact on the board. There is no way you can make all of the control work across 1 USB, without extreme Circuiting.

This just wouldn't happen.

Basically to do something like this, you would need a Net book, and a second VGA monitor the same size, hook them both up, add a touch panel, and run an emulator. But even then Its highly unpractical, and honestly a lot of wasted money for a blurry version of a good system.
