I need to start consulting him. I'll probably keep this up for a month. I'll determine the exact date pretty soon.
Great :D

Maybe show little snibbits of popular games. You could also do music videos and video collages to add some spice and make it seem professional. Kinda like how Apple shows off their latest iPod.

You guys are actually encouraging him to increase his price rather than decreasing it?

Well it also would force them to lower the price for a less awesome n64p, one that doesn't take 80 hours.

+1! time = money. i know of a lot of different professions where a person skilled at that profession can make anywhere from 50 dollars AN HOUR and up. people with unique skills can charge pretty much whatever they want and people that need those skills will pay for it

people who do custom fabrication (fiberglass, carbon fiber, plastics etc) can easily make 15-25$ an hour so based on that wage this portable should sell for 1200-2000$, 700$ is an incredible bargain

Exactly. If we charged as much for labor as ben does, crappy portables would be $1000 plus.
Cheers,

hey if he manages to sell it for a reasonable price for both himself and the seller, then its good for everyone.
750 is a relative steal, im gonna advertise it on other sites
p.s: if you could get a vidoe going of you playing super smash and zelda oot that would be great
good luck

Aceboy44, portables don't have a standardized price. These are custom items and so they have custom price tags. This market works on the principle of "supply and demand", and "whatever the market will bear."

As everyone has different qualities and the skill put into each portable you can't say that what a person charges is too much. Not to be mean to Shock Slayer but, his earlier portables were not much and wouldn't sell for much. Now they can go for a higher prices as they are of good or even better quality. He had to work on his skill and matterial quality, and now it's worth several hundred dollars easy.

So please, don't come into other people's For Sale threads. Let the buyer and seller talk to each other without distraction.

Sounds cool but I don't play guitar, plus I don't want to have to resell a guitar I know nothing about.

That's so cheap! wish I had just wanted one, instead of wanting to build one.. or I would have bought it

It's not like you can't build another one though :D spend your money wisely
