this is this the dongle that allows the transfer of licenses and such from on hard drive to another? Will this dongle work with say too drives of the same type, or any combo of drives? (provided the receiving drive is larger or the same size)

I ask if this is only specific to the 20 gig -> 120 gig movement

if not... $5?

No, not the one MS gave away for free
Its inside the HD case and goes from Hard Drive to that port on the top of the box
