FS: custom built high performance PC

Post by Trmptxn » Tue Jun 03, 2008 6:07 pm

ok, this idea im having, is to build a custom built pc and then sell it. Im really just doing this because i love building custom computers, ive built a lot of them before and i always enjoy doing it. However the building of computers is an expensive thing to upkeep, so for this one and for a lot after im going to be selling them on ebay. i will be posting the full build, step by step with tons of pictures online on my online blog!

http://zeepc.blogspot.com

the first one will have the following specifications

-3.0ghz E8400 Wolfdale duo core processor, (i will probably OC to around 3.5Ghz)
-300gb 10000rpm velocioraptor hardrive.
-evga LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i FTW SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
-2 sli linked evga 8800gts graphic cards
-4 GB G.SKILL DDR2 1066 (2Gb*2)
-RAIDMAX 700W PSU
-20X speed CD/DVD-RW
-the nicest case ive ever seen, which can be viewed here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119138

All drives will be conected via 3.0Gb/s SATA cable.
Windows XP will be pre-installed, im considering also throwing in the orange box as a bonus.

All the drivers will be fully working, and the entire machine will be stress tested for 72 hours before selling. Full pictures of EVERYTHING will be on my site. Im going to step by step build this over the course of the next week or so and every time i do so, i will be taking pictures of it being built. More details on the blog =)

So, anyone intrested?

Everyone on this forum would rather build it themselves.

Sounds like a nice machine, but I'd have to agree with Killgood; pretty much everyone here could do this themselves, and for much cheaper after cutting out your labor and dual shipping charges.

i figured as much, a lot of people on these forums could very easily build the same machine, im just trying to attract people to look at the blog though, and through that, maybe through referalss, links, stumbleupon, whatever, someone will get intressted and buy it.

Thats the idea anyways =P

And your post (and mine too, for that matter) aren't? How is this spam? Its a post offering a service, in a forum designated for offering services, forgive me if I missed a loophole, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. Try to boost your self-esteem or something.

Thank you for that, i was actually just about to post something back. I never really intended it to come off as spammy, i was just trying to get the word out so maybe i would be able to sell this thing. And it wasnt as if i just randomly found this website, ive known about it for a long time and have been reading it for at least a year and a half now so im sorry if it sounded spammy, but it wasnt intended at all.

I'm not usually one to call people out, but...

http://www.computerforums.org/showthread.php?t=72165
http://www.resellerratings.com/forum/tr ... -sale.html

He registered today on three completely different forums (probably more that aren't showing up on Google yet) to sell computers? Do you really think he has any interest at all in this board or it's members? He's advertising, simple as that.

But hey, see it however you want to.

I would have to agree with you, jperryss. Though I seem to recall hearing something about advertising on the forums before...

Oh yeah, there it was. Keep the service to the sig, which you've already done. If you ever do end up building this machine, sure, list it here to sell. Until then, locked.
