Pandora batteries are okay, they are part of the official sony PSP firmware. The magic memory stick is the tricky part. ;)

And I hate to be a smart ass, but...

"Do not sell/trade modchips here"

Does that mean we can give them away?

I have a question, is it okay if I sell mod chips I made myself? Or would that still be unacceptable?

That still constitutes as a modchip, so that would be a no as far as I can see it......

Actually, I know some person on another website that sells DuoX2 GS mod chips that are loaded with cromwell bios making them legal to distribute. The mod chip itself is not illegal, but the bios that you load on to it are illegal because they contain code from the original xbox bios (iND, Xecector, EvoX).

that would then constitute as a "gray area" which is also prohibited.

The rules state no modchips, that covers it all in a single, universal way of saying "don't do it".

I think modchips with no firmware are fine. That is why people are allowed to sell DS flashcarts here, they contain no illegal code.

I'm just going off of this:
benheck wrote:I would prefer if people do not sell or trade mod chips of any kind on this forum. I am all for hacking/modding, but not modding in the sense of rigging game consoles to run copied discs.

Admins, please lock/delete such topics if they pop up again.

Also don't think I'm a sell-out for blocking such items here. Truth is I sold out YEARS ago, not just recently, and I've been against "mod chips" pretty much since the beginning.

You know, the part where he says of any kind.

That is true... I almost think it should be changed. Not only have a LOT of DS flashcards been sold, but the mods have explicitly said they are okay. Not sure which ones, but I know Triton has specifically said that.

is the selling of PSP Pnadora batteries AND Magic Mem Sticks together allowed?

If it is, im going to sell it in 2 different ways, 1 for the phatty PSP's with only the Pandora batt and the MMS,

and 1 for the slim, exactly the same as the phat, but, the mem stick doesnt have the 1.50 kernel

Yes. As long as it contains no firmware/controller onboard, it is legal (According to the law, and I think the rules of this forum).

Which is interesting, as many wii modchips right now being just prewired microcontrollers that need to be flashed with firmware to do anything.
