iPod parts for sale!
Moderator:Moderators
I have accumulated a few dead iPods over the past few months and since they aren't doing me any good, I thought I'd see if they got any interest here. All prices do NOT include shipping!
The following parts are tested and confirmed to work:
1 iPod 4th Generation Screens - $20
1 iPod 4th Generation Clickwheel/Front Casing assembly - $15
1 iPod 4th Generation Logic Boards (including HD ribbon cables) - $50
1 iPod Photo clickwheel/front casing - $15
1 iPod Photo Logic Board (including HD ribbon cables) - $60
The following batteries are not tested and will all sell for $5 each:
1 iPod 1st Generation battery
1 iPod 2nd Generation battery
1 iPod 3rd Generation battery
2 iPod 4th Generation batteries
1 iPod Photo battery
The following parts aren't exactly worth much so just pay shipping for them and they're yours. The Hard Drives are either dead, or in need of some sort of repair (if possible), so if you can get one to work, lucky you!
iPod 60GB Hard Drive
iPod 40GB Hard Drive
iPod 15GB Hard Drive
iPod Photo Back Casing/Headphone Jack with the engraving "To Matt: Happy 15th! Next year it has wheels" (From my friend's iPod, not mine )
iPod 4th Generation 40GB Back Casing/Headphone Jack with the engraving "Todd Mikel Smith Radiology Consultants"
iPod Photo cracked screen
I would prefer any payment through Paypal, but I might be willing to negotiate another option. Trades are discouraged unless you've got something really good to offer!
P.S.
I'll cut you some slack on pricing if you buy multiple items
EDIT:
I'm willing to to trade with anyone that has a high capacity Compact Flash card (4GB or more), or a TI calculator

I'll give you $5 for the lot.sgtpepper wrote: P.S.

I'm totally the 2008th member.
If you do live in Spain, wouldn't that cost waaayyy too much for what it's worth?dudex77 wrote:ok then how much would the 60 gig HD, 4th gen back plus headphone jack, and 4th gen battery cost shipped?
And vskid, I might actually consider the SP, because of my recent endeavors in putting a Gameboy in a TI-83 . What are you interested in?
Oh, and Jimmy, very funny...
All the parts to the 3rd gen (minus HD), I want to put a 4GB CF card in it. Battery condition doesn't really matter, I'll likely do bic's idea of AAs, but I'll take it just in case it's needed for something.sgtpepper wrote:And vskid, I might actually consider the SP, because of my recent endeavors in putting a Gameboy in a TI-83 . Wait, did you get that missing part for the 4th gen? If so, I'd take either the 3g or 4g.
Yeah I'm still missing that particular part for the 4th gen, but I'll trade the 3rd gen parts for the SP. If you want I can take a picture for ya (it's sorta scratched), and the same goes for anyone else wanting pictures! Just ask!vskid wrote:All the parts to the 3rd gen (minus HD), I want to put a 4GB CF card in it. Where do you live vskid? I can calculate the shipping...
P.S.
If anyone has a broken/working TI calculator, I'll trade for one of those!
Pictures would be good, one with all the parts for the 3rd gen would be nice. I live in northern Utah (just use Salt Lake City, close enough), PM me for my ZIP code if you want a more accurate estimate.
So I guess all the 3rd gen parts would be:
1 iPod 3rd Generation Screen - $15
1 iPod 3rd Generation Front Casing/Button assembly - $15
1 iPod 3rd Generation Logic Board (including HD ribbon cables) - $40
1 iPod 3rd Generation 15 GB Back Casing/Headphone jack - $10
1 iPod 3rd Generation battery
Right? I can't decide if the trade is good or not, I think about one thing and it's good, but think about another and it's not so good.
I could sell you my Ti-84+ SE for $130. It's my friend in boring classes.

Battery, 6 Torx-6 screws, and Hard drive cable
Front Casing and Logic Board
Opposite side of Front Casing and Logic Board
Back Casing
Opposite side of Back Casing with Headphone Jack and Hold Switch
And the calculator is waaaayy too pricey for my taste, but do you have any other things to trade? Cause these parts do add up to $85 which is a lot to pay for an SP, even a new one...
I was joking about the calculator, it's mine!!!sgtpepper wrote:And the calculator is waaaayy too pricey for my taste, but do you have any other things to trade? Cause these parts do add up to $85 which is a lot to pay for an SP, even a new one...
I can't check the pictures right now, they're blocked at school. I guess we're thinking opposite, you want more and I want more. For less than $100 shipped, I can get a complete working 3rd gen on ebay. Yours doesn't have a hard drive, and those are about $40 on ebay.
I'll PM you when I get home.
EDIT:^No I won't, I forgot what I was gonna say.
I'll get to you on that. My brother has a G4 iPod but he's never opened it.
Friend of mine has an iPod video that keeps freezing in pause-mode when he tries to play music, or anything. Any idea what would cause that?
