Since that is a V1 mobo, you can use RGB (you can on a mini, but you have to get it off the chroma encoder instead). RGB=Sex. Use this Pinout as to where to put the red, green, and blue on the screen, and this pinout for where to get the red, green and blue from the SNES.

I tried doing RGB on a hipgear, with no success. I have the datasheet for the IC, and it DOES have RGB input. You also have to provide a proper sync, and change a pin from low to high to activate RGB. I may have missed something, but i read over the datasheet for a few hours total. The pins are just so incredibly hard to solder to, that i gave it up. I even did all my soldering under a scope, but its still damn hard.
Can anyone maybe help Triton out here? There's some unknown problem with the Mobo. It was thought to be the CIC Lockout Crystal, but on replacement, the problem persisted.
He's been working on this ever since early May and I'd really like for him to be able to finish and complete this sale to me, but he's stumped.

Open up a completely new snes, working, and take a pic of the mobo. Take a pic and then compare.
