WTS 3LOD'd X360 Motherboard
Post
by Lorelis-san » Thu Oct 04, 2007 11:23 am
I've gotten a 3 lights of death Xbox 360 motherboard that I don't want. It'll come with a power unit, the plug for the power unit, and a video cable. The motherboard has normal X-clamps on, uses the old heatsinks, has the diskdrive and both cables, the metal cage, which was bent out of shape, the RF/ROL unit, 2 of 3 screws for the RF/ROL unit and the white ROL cover. Tested it last night, it did have a bit of life before it 3LOD'd again. I'm selling it so I can save up for a 360 of my own.
It's all boxed in a Halo 3 limited edition 360 box, and it's pretty well taped up just now, so no pics can be shown.
Also, I'm scottish, so postage and payment might be a bit of hassle. I haven't got an exact price I want, so name a price

I couldn't get the parts for a X-Clamp mod, and it was opened before I even got ownership... So, I thought I might as well sell it, get some money, and start saving up for an intact 360.

You (could) water cool it. That'd be sweet! Have you tried unplugging the fans it might work (towel mod can do damage) . Before selling it I just ask you to unplug the fans

I could, yeah, but I think it'd be a bit more... easy to just save up for an assembled and not-opened Xbox 360. Also, I'm sure someone out there needs/wants one so they can make a 360 laptop or something, right? There's probably a lot of demand for cheap 360 motherboards here, but I dunno.
I'm still selling it, and there's not been any offers yet, for those who are thinking of buying!

You could get more if you "repair" it by unplugging the fans!

The box is all taped up already, and I honestly can't be bothered completely untaping it, just unplugging the fans and retaping it up....
Also, a lower price benefits the buyers, since they don't have to fork out so much

I'm fine without 50 more bucks... I managed to get some life outta it last time I tested, so it should easily be fixable.
So, any offers?

Hoping to get around £50-100, roughly around $100-200USD, not willing to go much lower than that
Contact me to discuss a price, as per usual. I'd definitly be willing to trade for a core if you want the old heatsinks for some reason, if anyone's crazy/brave enough to want to trade a core for a warranty-violated half-working 360 motherboard held together with 2 screws, with power and video lead.

You want that much for a 360, without a case, AND it has the RROD?
You'd be lucky if you got $10.

Ya you'd be better of just repairing it. Putting a better heatsink and fans on it and put it in a new case.

Yeah, I suppose I could go and attempt repair. I got all the parts needed for a X-Clamp mod, and I'm sure I could find out more hints for fixing a 360 on the internet.
Could someone close/delete this topic?

first try unplugging the fans till it overheats. (then turn of wait for it to cool and plug them back in) it should work better now (it depends somtimes it works sometimes it doesn't) then do x-clamp.
