Here's my newest NES portable. I call it the cherrybomb. I use Ben's graphics but just made it circular and used a noac. Not done yet, but had to show off what I've done so far.

Did you by any chance make the other Cherrybomb we saw go on ebay awhile back? Nice job if it was.
As for this portable, I really like it. I'm not sure if anyone's ever attempted a circular design before. Looks great.

Yes, I made the other "Cherrybomb" that was on Ebay a few weeks ago. I've had this one in the works now for a while, so I'm trying to finally finish it up.
To answer a couple questions: First off it wasn't very cheap to build this baby. I used a Yobo NOAC, but spent $50 for it. I see them on Ebay now for about $15-$25. (By the way, if anyone knows where I can get a bunch of those cheap, please let me know.) The screen is a Verge (Circuit City's brand) 5" screen for an XBOX. The screen is essentially a PSOne screen with only a few differences. I spent about $35 for that, but I can't find any more at Circuit City. Then I need to spend for the battery and case parts. Probably cost me about $100 or so for everything.
The case is based of of Ben's portable NES in the book. It is just engraving plastic and aluminum sides. I used a RotoZip to cut the circle top and Xacto knife to cut out the holes for the buttons and screen.
The unit isn't finished yet. What you see in the photos is only the front. I need to add another 3/4" deep circular piece in the back for the cartridge and battery but that shouldn't change the appearance all that much.
I appreciate all the compliments. I'd like to make more of these, except it takes so long! I'm trying to streamline the process though. More pictures will be forthcoming as I finish the unit.

That case could blowup a toilet if it gets to close. That is a damn fine, damn fine case. I'm very anxious to see it when your done, keep us informed.
