If you buy it at Borders search online for a coupon first. They usually have a 20-25% off coupon every week or two.

The book helps a lot...I have had no knowledge of electronics before and I was able to successfully build a NESp. As of now mine is broken, but it was good while it lasted :P It will be fixed eventually though

It definitely opens the door for learning about electronics. I had no knowledge about electronics or how to solder or anything, but now after reading the book and reading these forums and building a system (and a half) I can say that I know a lot more now and am fairly competent.

Exactly, joedog. I got the book having no experience whatsoever with electronic modifications, never having picked up a soldering iron before even. I've nearly completed a SNESp and feel I've learned an incredible amount about electronics by reading the book. Have fun hacking your old videogame systems.
