When I turn the power on...

Post by jeffslot » Tue Aug 02, 2005 7:21 pm

The white led mod lights up & then quickly fades out. Any ideas? (I'm doing the 2600 project from the book.) Could it be the capacitors's I've used to replace the original 2600 fat green one? Thanks.

Does the Atari continue to work? If not, you may not have a powerful enough battery. I don't think the capacitors would be affecting the power, unless you used something like 68uF instead of .68uF.

Well,

I bought the capacitor's recommended by Sponge. I'm sure that that isn't the issue. I guess it could be the batteries, but before I re-wired the unit, i was getting a better picture with the game. Now I'm not getting to see the game anymore & the white led mod quickly fades out. I'm pretty baffled.

Those capacitors I recommended are for paddles, so it's a whole different thing. I'm not sure what the problem is, personally :?

Hi,

Tonight i'm goingto double-check all of my wiring. I'm also considering using some of this much touted lemon juice. Can someone give me some information in how it should be used? Do I dip the exposed bits of wires in it & then solder? Thanks.
