Portable gamecube with no disk reader?

Post by morganwk » Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:43 pm

I have heard that the thing you put the disk in is the biggest hassle for a portable gamecube. Is it possible to take that out and replace it with a modchip so I can play my own backed up games? It would be awesome - I could back up my collection and put them all on an SD or something - the most portable it could possibly be.
So my question is,
Can you make a portable gamecube with a backup reader INSTEAD OF a disk reader?

People do this all the time. They use the WiiKey Fusion.

So that means I can forget about the disks? And cut down on the size? And power consumption?
