...the kind I use in the book, and they're backordered til near June!
On one hand I'm thinking "Well, maybe everybody bought my book and wiped them out!" but also I'm thinking "This sucks!" Anyway, I just ordered and recieved these, and they're fine:
Digi-key Part #: EG2494-ND
I think they're even a bit cheaper! The actuator post (the button) isn't as tall, but if worse came to worse you could put a little dab of hot glue under the trigger/control disc to help push it.
I'll post this to the Forum 42 as well. Happy hunting!

I hate buying stuff online! The way I went about getting my tact switches was buying cheap electonic devices at garage sales that had them! And that's how I slavage all my electronic parts. I got the idea of salvaging from a store on the north side of Chicago called Science Surplus which sells salvaged electronic parts and are very expensive! At garage sales, I mostly pay less than $2. and I get my tact switches right away. However, I still would suggest still getting them from Gannon!

I don't like digikey.com because they have a minimum order. I use Allied Electronics--they don't have a minimum order, and I found many of the components listed in the book are cheaper. I got all of my tact switches--I also was able to find the ICs (4021) to build the controllers--there was no need to find any old nes controllers laying around.
Only the great ones remember.
Old thread! Make it stop! <sobs> Please, make it stop!
