ok guys I am about to start on my project very soon but the parts i have found on ebay are really cheap. Has anyone bought parts from hong kong suppliers? And was it good compared to mouser and radio shack?

It ultimately hinges upon which seller.
I personally have had luck with rubber tact switches. (Got them off ebay from a Hong Kong supplier as well). It feels almost like the original and doesn't have an annoying click noise.
Perhaps you could link us to which auction you are referring to?

Don't buy those resistors, they are huge. You want 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt ones. You can get them cheap from electronics suppliers.

If the resistors are for LEDs, just buy from a seller that bundles the LEDs with resistors.

no worries, I didn't. I was wondering about other stuff but I will keep it simple and order most of the parts i need through mouser and radio shack. i still can't believe how fast they ship stuff.
