GameCube control stick on N64 Controller mod possible?
Moderator:Moderators
Hi guys,
I've browsed these forums a bit in the past, checking out all the cool mods done by various people to various products, but I haven't ever seen anyone replace the rubbish control stick module of the N64 controller with a GameCube one. Is it possible? I've wanted to do this for so very long but don't have the technical knowledge to do it.

So did about 239 other people here. Yes if you use a third party N64 controller, you can replace the joystick with a gamecube one but the sticks on third party controllers aren't crap like the first party ones so it almost defeats the whole thing.eurddrue wrote:yes, if it is 3rd party, but no if it is official. Using different joysticks in third party N64 controllers has been posted so many times in so many threads, if anyone asks about this these days it is because they barely read threads here or do even a minor search. It is even in the stickies.
Also, this is the forum section for Ben's book, and he didn't cover the N64 in it, so to top it off, this topic isn't even in the right section!
SS - That was a pic of a sock not a "sock slayer", perhaps a sock holding a lance over a dragon?
